Wheat loading with new LINDE YH60 industrial telescopic loader
Flexibility and reliability are key in agriculture: Agricultural businesses such as Agrarprodukte Rottdorf e.G. need telescopic loaders that are versatile and perform reliably throughout the year, whether loading bulk goods, heavy straw bales or maintaining field margins. The new LINDE YH60 industrial telescopic loader scored particularly well in practical tests thanks to its stability and manoeuvrability.
The German agricultural company Agrarprodukte Rottdorf is a 1250-hectare cash crop farm that also runs a small livestock farm. The farm, which has been in existence since 1990, employs a total of 8 people and is fully mechanized. Since 1998 a telescopic loader has been an integral part of the machinery. "The telescopic loader has become a key machine for us in recent years. As a universal machine , we use it for a wide variety of tasks. It is in use every day," explains Managing Director Frank Weise. At peak times, such as harvesting, Weise often hires a second telescopic loader so that he can load the large quantities of crops as quickly as possible.
Wide range of applications in agricultural operations
The range of tasks for the telescopic loader is enormous: the company stores and retrieves more than 4000 tons of bulk goods - in the form of grain and rapeseed - every year . In addition, up to 2000 tons are loaded into trailers directly after the harvest. There are also tasks such as loading the ensiled maize and handling the straw bales and manure from the livestock. The machine is also used for field edge maintenance. Hedges are cut back with an attached branch saw, and it is equipped with a sweeper to keep the farm grounds clean .
Impressive flexibility and stability
One point that impresses both the managing director and the machine operator is the maneuverability of the 6 t telescopic loader. "With a load capacity of 6 tons and a lifting height of 8.5 m, the YH60 is already a very robust and large machine. Despite all this, it proves to be very flexible and maneuverable. We were also able to maneuver well in tight spaces and load efficiently with it," says Weise. "Another advantage that comes with the size is the high stability. The telescopic loader is safe and stable in every situation. That really impressed us." Thanks to the extra-long wheelbase of 3.25 m, the YH60 has a high level of stability, even with heavy loads or on an incline.
The machine also demonstrates its enormous thrust when piling up the wheat in the intermediate store before loading, which the powerful 123 kW diesel engine and a strong drive train optimally transfer to the telescopic arm.

Quickly ready for use
The machine operators were quickly familiarized with the machine and, after a short briefing on site by the responsible sales partner MV Fördertechnik, immediately got to grips with the telescopic loader. The team from Agrarprodukte Rottdorf was able to get a first impression a few weeks earlier when Managing Director Renzo Müller from MV Fördertechnik gave them an exclusive presentation of the new telescopic loader in the LINDE portfolio. "Mr. Müller suggested that we test the new YH60 without obligation. A great offer that we were happy to take up," reports Weise.
