Wood chip companies such as König GmbH require particularly flexible and powerful machines that can reliably move thousands of cubic metres of material. This is exactly the right task for the robust 6-tonne LINDE YH60 telescopic loader: in a demanding practical test directly on site, it demonstrated its capabilities in handling wood chips and impressed with its performance and stability.
König GmbH , a long-established woodworking company based in Steinen, Germany, processes between 70,000 and 80,000 cubic meters of wood chips every year in its associated recycling company König Recycling GmbH. The range of tasks extends from feeding the shredder with the delivered energy wood, to storing and stacking, right through to loading the woodchippings onto trucks. For all these applications, the 6 t telescopic loader proved to be perfectly equipped for all of these applications during the test - above all thanks to its powerful lifting capacity and flexible equipment options.
König GmbH, which was looking for an alternative to the previously used wheel loaders, used the telescopic loader during the test, primarily for placing the woodchippings and loading them onto the trucks. "From the very first moment, the telescopic loader made a very good impression, which was confirmed during the test. The machine is very strong and powerful - an ideal machine for our operations," says Jürgen König, Managing Director of König GmbH, summarizing his impressions.
The telescopic loader's strength is no coincidence. The powerful 123 kW Stage V diesel engine installed in it and a strong drive train ensure high tractive forces. Thanks to the Z-kinematics familiar from wheel loader technology, the YH60 also transfers the forces ideally to the bucket, especially when used in bucket applications, so that enormous breakaway forces are achieved when picking up the material. As the telescopic arm can be extended to a maximum lifting height of 8.50 m, the pile can also be pushed up high enough to make optimum use of the storage volume.
Another point that convinced König is the outstanding stability. Thanks to the long wheelbase of 3.25 m, the machine remains stable at all times, even at high lifting heights, with particularly heavy loads and/or when the machine is on an incline.
On arrival at the yard, the machine was equipped with a 5 m³ light material bucket. To illustrate the variety of equipment on the telescopic loader, Schöler Fördertechnik organized a special push blade for woodchippings , which could alternatively be used to push the woodchippings onto the machine. Thanks to the hydraulic quick hydraulic quick-change system from SENNEBOGEN at the touch of a button and without additional auxiliary equipment.
A total of three different drivers were able to test the telescopic loader - and all of them were impressed. "We employees were particularly impressed by the the hydraulically elevating cab was particularly appealing.
Jürgen König became aware of the robust 6-ton telescopic loader at the bauma 2025 in Munich, where the machine in the SENNEBOGEN green version was exhibited as a novelty at the SENNEBOGEN booth. There, König also came into contact with the dealer responsible for his area, Schöler Fördertechnik. A test date for the machine was quickly arranged. As a LINDE network partner, Schöler later provided him with the telescopic loader in the red LINDE design. "We had a really good introduction to the machine on site. When the telescopic loader arrived at the company, both SENNEBOGEN and Schöler Fördertechnik employees were present. It was particularly positive that Schöler even provided us with the wood chip pusher blade especially for the test run so that we could also test an alternative attachment. After the briefing, my employees and I immediately got to grips with the YH60, so we were able to get started quickly and test it thoroughly," concludes Jürgen König.
